Association Plans not always the best solution.
When we met Bryce in 2012, we had a benefits plan with an association plan for municipalities. At the time, we had two concerns – we thought our costs may be too high and we were not receiving the support we needed from the Toronto brokerage firm that managed the association plan.
We asked Bryce to perform a market survey on our existing benefits plan and to cost some additional benefits options we were hoping to offer our employees.
The results of this process were outstanding! Bryce found us high quality benefits carriers that would match our current plan design but their pricing was 15 percent to 20 percent lower. Furthermore, we were able to implement all of the enhancements we were hoping to include and still pay less premium than the association plan, benefiting the Township and our employees’ pocket books as they pay for the STD and LTD coverage personally.
